• The representational structure of perception and thought: conceptual/non-conceptual, propositional/non-propositional, compositional/non-compositional, pictorial/non-pictorial 
• The role of perception in grounding thought: conditions of grounding, format, content  
• Constructive processes leading to perceptual representations and thinking
